Abstract: Harris et al. propose a perspective on the post-graduate Knowledge Transfer Partnership (KTP) approach to learning in the UK.  Governmental initiatives, employer engagement, academic or educational policies, and and the KTP approach are explored from the viewpoint of the authors.  Barriers, consequences, and potential benefits are also explored.
