Abstract: Reviews 26 studies that evaluated the short-term (< 6 months) or long-term (≥6 months) effects of cardiac rehabilitation (CR). Concludes that ‘center-based’ CR is not enough to improve and maintain habitual physical activity, but that home-based programs may be more effective. More research on methods to improve physical activity is needed, including on home-centered interventions.
