Abstract: Investigates the short-term (0-2 months) and long-term (5-6 months) effect of supportive interventions offered along or after rehabilitation or other nonsurgical treatment, using 11 trials with 3,231 subjects. Finds moderate good quality evidence for small effects on physical function, short-term and long-term. Moderate quality evidence showed there to be no significant effects on depression short-term. Low or very low quality evidence showed no effects short-term on pain, and long-term on pain or depression.
