Chithra Adams, PhD, serves as the Director of Evaluation at the Human Development Institute, University of Kentucky. She has more than a decade experience in program evaluation. In her current capacity. she provides overall leadership for HDI program evaluation and work with state and local agencies to evaluate the longitudinal impact of implementation of evidence based practices. The evaluation unit currently evaluates approximately 20 projects; she oversees a team of 15 evaluators and analysts. She has evaluated diverse program areas including behavioral health, substance use, housing, wellness, recreation, and employment. She has extensive experience in conducting mixed-methods evaluations of programs that implement evidence based practices at the local and regional levels. The evaluation portfolio includes evaluation of the National Training Center for Mental Health and Developmental Disabilities, Center for Human Dignity in Healthcare for People with Disabilities, KY System of Care, RETAIN-KY, Information and Technical Assistance Center for Councils on Developmental Disabilities. She is also the Principal Investigator for Kentucky State Paralysis Resource Center, Wellness Edge. Dr. Adams has a doctoral degree in educational science and a masters in public administration.
