Jon McKenzie, PhD

Jon McKenzie researches media, design, and performance at Cornell University. His workshops in the United States and abroad focus on transmedia knowledge and critical design thinking, helping others to problem solve and communicate their research for different stakeholders. Dr. McKenzie is the author of Perform or Else: From Discipline to Performance, which focuses on cultural, organizational, and technological performance in contemporary societies. His latest book, Transmedia Knowledge for Liberal Arts and Community Engagement, argues for democratizing digitality through the creation of shared experiences and collaborative platforms that connect campus and community.
