Abstract:

This is a report from the Institute of Medicine (IOM) on a consensus study from the Committee on Standards for Systematic Reviews of Comparative Effectiveness Research, Board on Health Care Services. The IOM suggests a number of standards for conducting systematic reviews, including standards for: initiating a systematic review, finding and assessing individual studies, synthesizing evidence, reporting, and improving the quality of systematic reviews.
