Annual KT Conference
The Center sponsors an Annual KT Conference for NIDILRR-funded grantees and others, by invitation. Knowledge translation (KT) strategies are used by NIDILRR grantees to share their research with a variety of audiences. KT activities are used to create a change in awareness, behavior, or action on the part of the identified audience. This online conference is designed to address strategies in the planning and implementation of effective and efficient KT approaches.
KTDRR staff and other participants met online on October 15, 16, and 18, 2024 (1–5pm each day) for the 2024 virtual knowledge translation (KT) conference: “Disability Inclusion, Intersectionality and Knowledge Translation”. The programming for 2024 focused on how to ensure full and equitable inclusion in KT of people with disabilities from a wide range of disabilities. We also discussed how KT activities can address intersections of disability with and among gender/sexual orientation, racial/ethnic identity, socioeconomic background, rurality, religion and/or national origin.
The 2024 conference archives are being saved as videos and uploaded to YouTube. They will be available soon. To be notified when the archived presentations are available, please subscribe to our newsletter.
