Abstract: |
Using a structured roadmap, Anaby et al. (2021) provide a knowledge translation guide to promote health and wellbeing in childhood-onset disability. The basis of this roadmap was derived from the Five-factor framework for predicting implementation outcomes, as well as the Cultural Cone framework and the Knowledge-to-Action model. The goal is to expedite the uptake of participation evidence into policy and practice. Anaby et al. found that collaboration through a five-way partnership of “family-clinician-manager-community leader-policymaker” is key to achieving positive outcomes for change in practice focused on participation. This roadmap can facilitate children, families, policymakers, administrators, and service providers to bridge the knowledge-to-practice gaps in pediatric rehabilitation. |
