NIDILRR Employee Grantees' Strategies for Outreach to Business: Strategies to Inform the Design of Knowledge Translation

NARRTC Conference (Alexandria, VA) - Symposium: NIDILRR Employee Grantees' Strategies for Outreach to Business: Strategies to Inform the Design of Knowledge Translation, May 6, 2016.

Susanne Bruyère, Wendy Strobel-Gower, Sarah von Schrader, Kathleen M. Murphy - Cornell University and KTER Center’s Murphy presented approaches for engaging employers to inform effective outreach. They shared their experiences and strategies in engaging employers to ensure relevance and bridge the gap between research and practice in three NIDILRR-funded projects: The Diversity Partners Project, the RRTC on Employer Practices to Improve Employment Outcomes among Individuals with Disabilities’ Benchmark Ability initiative, and the KTER Center’s RCT study of using a follow-up offer of technical assistance after a webcast about cancer and employment issues, as a KT strategy targeting a business-oriented audience.
