Title of artwork: A Double Tap Moment
Artist's Statement
Having safe, inclusive areas for people to congregate is important for inclusion. My music provides that expressively, emotionally and aurally. One of my slogans from the last thirty years is "Headphones. Close Your Eyes. Make Time..." A prequel to this slogan is "ALWAYS PRESS RECORD"
All humans can put on their headphones, close their eyes, and go to a new realm. Sound is my favorite medium for that reason. It creates a cleansing environment.
Conference artists shared with the Center on KTDRR these biographical statements. The bios represent their choices about how to describe their expertise.
This, being my third existence, in this body, I really believe I'm finding out that there are many of us who see the similarities that we have with each other. I have always done that and will continue and appreciate when these things align in the universal nature that they are. And I truly appreciate knowing there are so many tending to the needs, with such great effort, and so many levels, beyond what I ever thought of and I appreciate in the way that we can learn from each other.
