Rayna Sage

Dr. Rayna Sage is a rural sociologist who joined the Rural Institute for Inclusive Communities at the University of Montana in 2016. She grew up a sawyer’s daughter in rural Northern Idaho. Her research focuses on elevating and empowering the voices of rural people with disabilities and the communities they live in across the United States. She is able to do this work only because of community-based partnerships with service and advocacy organizations such as Centers for Independent Living and the incredible people who work in the community every day.
