Amy McPherson

Amy McPherson is a senior scientist in the Bloorview Research Institute and an associate professor at the University of Toronto (both in Toronto, Canada). Dr. McPherson leads the ProFILE (Promoting an Inclusive healthy Lifestyle for Everyone) lab and conducts research that addresses the inequities experienced by youth with disabilities in accessing information that supports their health. Her work focuses on sexuality, eating disorders, body image, and mental health. She engages with multiple stakeholders as part of her research, including youth, parents, and healthcare professionals. Dr. McPherson is committed to ensuring that research findings reach key knowledge users and engages in knowledge translation activities tailored to scientific, community, and lay audiences.
